My friend Barbara Lowe across the pond sent a huge box of goodies.....my favorite Rance soap Fluerette, some Laduree powder, which I now have lavender colored powder everywhere !   a gorgeous pin shaped like a feathered crown, a darling Let Them Eat cake coffee cup and silver spoon, which I'll cherish, a pretty ring with an emerald cut stone and two pink baguettes on either side that fits perfectly, and a pretty aqua and pink crystal bracelet and an aqua and lavender crystal necklace I am sure she made her talented self.....I love her jewelry !   Last but not least porcelain baroque fans to complete a collection of them she sent to me last year.    Wow....how can I thank someone for making me feel this special !   Thank you my darling from the bottom of my heart.

My lovely daughter of the heart Donna and Glammie Girl, Autumn sent me a Ballard Designs gift certificate......my favorite store to actually buy anything.

And last but not least my son, his wife Jenna and my little Grandson Kalis sent me two lovely baroque frames with white ribbon hangers of photos of Jason and Kalis picking out their Christmas tree and one of Jenna and Kalis at an outing at the park.    Both very well cherished by me :))

I need to show photos but will have to be another day.     The one above was posted to me by my friend Catherine Chavez who is such a talent....I so appreciate the well wishes today on my Facebook pages.

It's all so nice and cozy in the studio..Autumn leaves are falling outside my windows like colored snow..I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.   I do need a small little breather,  but will not take a real break until around mid-December :)   So..... here is more to love for anyone who might enjoy my work.......this art print or giclee is already selling at the Etsy store and of course comes in a folding Christmas card form ( read post below) ....but I really love it so much I thought I'd offer it as a large 8 x 11" print with self matte.  It will be so lovely in a pretty frame to add to your Holiday decor.    Visit it here at www.papernosh.etsy.com

I have ordered a lovely flocked tree I am putting in an old urn and placing on a round table with a burlap cloth and decorating with crystals and crystal branches and mercury glass....something to be excited about !   With my new "Gustavian" decor all white and pale blues and grays I think the new tree will be lovely....can't wait to decorate for the Holidays :))

Paper Nosh Pumpkins and Kittie Loves Skeletor

Pumpkins we grew at the Paper Nosh Studio
King Louie the 19th with his new love.....Skeletor

Well Fall is in full swing and I have harvested the pumpkins we babied to death all Summer......hundreds of gallons of water later I have my darling little and not so little orange globes.   It's not easy to grow pumpkins.   The first large Cinderella was stolen one night.....and the others we practically wanted to put an alarm onto them to keep them safe !   So here they are.....I love them so much.   I know I could go down to the grocery or to a pumpkin patch but there is something fun and magical about growing your own.   It's amazing how much they grow in one night.....the fairies must dance among them and sprinkle some sort of magic dust.   We thought we saw them a couple of times but they are very private about their activities !

Then there is one of the studio cats, King Louie the 19th.....he loved this 'Skeletor' the minute I drug it out of it's box.....he slept on it for two days before I finally had to tell him that it was for my decorations....he reluctantly gave up his new love.   Today I saw him trying to jump up and catch it as it swung from the tree in the front yard. :))   Oh kitty love.....even better than puppy love !!

Wishing you all a wonderful and totally magical Halloween.

Moods and Appetites Featuring Paulettes Rococo Chandelier Wrapping Papers

• Louise Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun’s Self-portrait in a Straw Hat was her ticket to the Royal Academy, a boy’s club of painters who had admitted only one other woman. It solidified her success as one of the most skilled and prolific artists of her day. In a career that spanned more than four decades, she painted 660 portraits of nobility and notable personalities, including Marie Antoinette and Lord Byron. After fleeing France during the Revolution, Le Brun continued to paint the aristocracy in Russia and England. Her portraits have an ease and softness that casts her lofty subjects in a human light. She gave her women a sense of dignity that no male painter could achieve. Her gaze in the Self-Portrait of 1782 is both direct and relaxed, while she holds a palette of fresh paint and a set of brushes. She wrote and published her memoirs, which you can read in their entirety here.

Paulette’s Gift Wrap has a Rococo-inspired chandelier print on a light pink base.

Coco’s Pink Cameo Necklace pairs a cream-and-rose cameo with dark green brass leaves.

• This Italian 1930s Straw Hat by Fanciness Vintage frames a bouquet of millinery flowers with dark navy ribbon.

Katie’s Pink Flats are covered with ornate lace, pearl trim, and swarovski crystals.

Mo’s French Macarons. Need I say more?

******This lovely post was created by Katrina at MOODS AND APPETITE'S Blog......thank you Katrina for this lovely post including our Rococo Chandelier Wrapping Paper.

Thoughts on Being a Creative

This just touched my soul this morning while I caught a Sufi master speaking with Oprah from her Oak Grove located at her California home.   So as I spoke it to myself over and over, making sure I remembered it correctly ( while I created this image) ....cause....that's what I love to do.....create and share.    I hope it resonates with you too on this beautiful early Fall Sunday afternoon.

Trois Sorcières Petits Célébrer All Hallows Eve or Three Little Witches Celebrate All Hallows Eve

By the pricking of the thumb......Something wicked this way comes........

An addition to our Halloween cards this year !   Our Three Little Witches from Shakespeare's Macbeth.  So much fun to create and a labor of my love for all things Halloween.

This is a large 5 x 7 folding card, printed with a creepy design both front and back.  The witches are slightly hand colored in hues of green and purple. Inside is an insert on Parchment paper of the Witches Spell from the same play.....Double Double, Toil and Trouble, Fire Burn and Cauldren Bubble !  Don't you just love it !!   There is a greeting too saying" have a spooky Halloween", and room for you to sign your name.  This is all tied together with a natural rope twine..... and then there comes one of the best parts....the die cut, burned edge 3.33" diameter 'Witchie' seals and a black shimmering envelope.

These will be available to order this week at our www.PaperNosh.etsy.com site and also our website at www.PaperNosh.com.

We Have Pumpkins at Paper Nosh !!

I'm so happy to see Fall on its way !!   Of all the pumpkin vines growing on the Paper Nosh Studio lawn I have one pumpkin !!    Still I'm overjoyed to see it.....it has almost tripled in size since I took these photos last week and maybe see some little round things peeking their heads under a few blossoms.....I hope there will be more :))   The one in the photo appears to be a Cinderella, but I'm happy with any little guy at all :))
We use the seeds from pumpkins from the year before so I'm never sure what will grow.....love the surprise of it all  !

Luscious Marie Antoinette Pink and Gold Silhouette Invitations, Tags and New Gift Wrap

An ensemble invitation group I've been working on for quite awhile and finally am pleased with the outcome of each piece !!

The palest of pinks and golds and a gorgeous vintage cartouche frame are so feminine and clean and have somewhat of a modern feel to them.   We used shards of German Glass Glitter to create a bit of sparkle without overwhelming the delicate design.

These will make lovely wedding, shower, engagement or birthday invitations ! You can purchase the pretty invitations with custom type-set, customizable die-cut tags and the gift wrap sheets at PaperNosh.com  . In our 'Stationery and Wedding categories'.   Also available at our Etsy site: PaperNosh.etsy.com
( click on the winged envelope on the right column to contact me, Paulette, for any questions.)

Marie Antoinette le Enchanteur Eat Cake Halloween !!

It's that time again....my favorite season !!  I do have to start early around here at the studio, planning new Halloween and Christmas cards so that they can  be ordered and completed for you to have in time to send out.   I love these with their burnt edges and spooky frame...plus all the little elements that make them so much fun.   Even flying monkeys, a scarry cat familiar for Marie, a crow ready to party with his little hat on, and even a cat in Marie's hat :)

These would make great invitations with our type set service, or just order as they are with or with out the "Happy Halloween" greeting inside.    You can order these in sets of 6 at our Etsy store or at the Paper Nosh web site.

I can't wait to decorate with our purple fairy lights, dancing skeleton couple and my little graveyard :))   It's going to be here before we know it.
