56 Robes de l'exposition "Le XVIIIème au goût du jour" à Versailles"

House of Dior Robe Doutzen Kroes inspired by Fragonard

Inspiréd by the Portrait of Madame de Pompadour by Boucher  dress by Vivienne Westwood
House of Dior Haute Couture Robe en soie vert pâle brodée et tulle dégradé blanc  Oh so lovely....like Spring !

I could not resist posting these lovely couture creations after visiting my friend Marie Arden on her blog today and then promptly going to the Vogue Versailles feature .   Oh be still my beating heart.....the dresses and displays in the Chateau de Versailles are so so beautiful.   I love and admire any type of beautiful design but these dresses fashioned after historical portraits have to be seen and appreciated by any lucky enough to view them.  Marie says there is a way to visit Versailles during the showing....how lovely that would be !!

Beautiful dresses for this period. I would never get all that one. However, most of the ladies had maids that helped them dress.
